Native Support for Leading Cloud Platforms Provides Interactive BI at Massive Scale
LOS GATOS, Calif. – Apr 12, 2017 – Kyvos Insights, a big data analytics company, today announced that its flagship product called Kyvos now offers native support for Google Cloud. As a result, business users can analyze cloud-based data with Kyvos and use their BI tools of choice, including Tableau, Excel, MicroStrategy, and more, to obtain powerful business insights with instant response times.
Kyvos’ support for leading cloud platforms now encompasses Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, representing 82 percent of the public cloud platform market, according to the Cloud Security Alliance. With Kyvos’ BI Consumption Layer approach, users can interact with big data in the same way regardless of the chosen infrastructure – whether data is stored on multiple cloud infrastructures or on premise. Additionally, through support for Spark and Hadoop computational models, the store, processing and accessing capabilities are maximized.
“With Kyvos support for Google Cloud, developers and business users have access to highly scalable, reliable, fast, inexpensive data storage and computation infrastructure to enable BI on big data,” said Ajay Anand, vice president of products at Kyvos Insights. “Our customers can now migrate from on-premise to cloud-based environments seamlessly.”
Having increased cloud provider options allows users to more fully take advantage of Kyvos’ analytics capabilities to visualize, explore and analyze multi-dimensional big data interactively at any scale. Additionally, users don’t have to worry about the underlying infrastructure and can access more cloud-based data than ever before, with no coding or IT intervention required, helping to further drive adoption of self-service analytics.
“The Apache Hadoop ecosystem opened tremendous doors for organizations looking to harness the power of big data for business results,” says Eric Kavanagh, chief executive officer, The Bloor Group. “However, there were gaps in the ecosystem, most notably around usability in the traditional sense of business intelligence and analytics. Kyvos fills that hole with a solution that bridges the chasm between Hadoop and the spectrum of BI tools and technologies that companies have used for years.”
Through support for Apache Spark and Hadoop-based computation, Kyvos provides the ability to process data at any scale and granularity, and enables users to explore, slice and dice and drill down interactively through their visualization tools. In addition, the speed at which Kyvos processes queries – on average 100 times faster than native SQL queries on Hadoop – results in significant reduction in time for users and transforms the user experience. The solution also offers advanced security support and integration with enterprise security infrastructures, so companies are confident their data is secure. The same security model can be maintained across the enterprise and in the cloud.
